Reflection and Ahead
This new year of 2026 brings many blessings for me! As I am very early on having free time during my weekdays and I have been disciplining myself to go into my small studio to work. I love that I can finally organize my art materials and to work on completing work with continuity . I miss teaching and I know I never stop teaching in some way but it is a nice feeling to not have it on my schedule every week. Retirement is a gift to embrace and I am now able to work everyday on art and finding inspiration in so many ways. This artwork is one of my most recents works. I traveled to Italy this past fall and my image is inspired by the cypress trees in Tuscany. My vision is driving through the beautiful landscape and catching the silhouettes of their interesting shapes against the moonlight. I look forward to many more images based on my experience of spending two full weeks in Italy. This country is so beautiful visually and my visit was nurturing to my soul.
