Teaching Workshops

Papermaking Workshops: 3 hour sessions Price: $300 including materials Western Papermaking using cotton and abaca fibers. Molds and deckles and pulp will be supplied.
Projects: Sheet formation using various layers of pulp to create a 2D art work. Inclusions of various found materials will be use to enhance the paper textures.

Printmaking Workshops: 3 hour sessions Workshops will focus on two or three processes of our choice: Handprinting and Printing with a printing press. Printmaking Processes:
- Monoprinting: a form of printmaking that has lines or images that can only be made once.
- Relief Printing: a process consisting of cutting or etching a printing surface in such a way that all that remains of the original surface is the design to be printed.
- Collagraph: Using a board with collage materials glued onto it to form a relief surface with a variety of textures.
- Dry point: printmaking technique of the intaglio family, in which an image is incised into a plate (or “matrix”) with a hard-pointed “needle”
All materials will be supplied. I own a portable printing press which will be used in the workshop.
